CII - iPATE
The GATE-way to Corporate World
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is an association of more than 9000 companies as members in India. The members include PSUs, MNCs and SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises).
CII recently proposed a PAN India basis Online Competitive Examination (iPATE) to screen and find technical talent for its member companies to recruit keeping in view the large supply of engineers possessing minimal employability skills.
iPATE stands for "Industrial Proficiency Aptitude Test for Engineers" and its slogan is "The GATE-way to Corporate World"
CII also believes that the GATE Examination has been a benchmark to assess academic knowledge depth of an engineering graduate and no such standard benchmark test is available in the private sector.
Objective of iPATE
01. To bridge the gap between Engineering Academics & Industry02. To standardize the recruitment process
